Current Director Head and Neck Oncology Service at Candiolo Cancer Institute – Turin (1st January 2017)

In the period 1983-2001 he completed his clinic training at the ENT Dept. of the University of Turin , as a resident of Prof. Alberto Sartoris
From 1999 to 2001 , always in the same University Dept., he directed the Unit of Preventive and Clinical Oncology ( B2s position)
Since July 2001 he became Chief of the ENT Service at Martini Hospital of Turin
From December 2002 to April 2003 also holds the positions of Medical Director of the Hospital Martini
In December 2010 he was assigned the role of Associate Professor of Otolaryngology at the University of Cagliari
Since April 2011, following the call at the Faculty of Medicine of Turin San Luigi Gonzaga, he became Associate Professor of Otolaryngology at the University of Turin and Chief of the University ENT Service at San Luigi Gonzaga Hospital together with the Head and Neck Oncology service at Candiolo Cancer Institute – Turin.

Scientific Activity

• Author of 83 peer reviewed papers on topics of particular interest in the field of Otorhinolaryngology -Head and Neck Surgery
• Ordinary Member of the Italian Society of Otolaryngology since 1986
• Ordinary Member of the Italian Society of Surgical Oncology since 1997
• Scientific secretary and speaker at the Workshop " Perspectives on secondary prevention of laryngeal cancer" (Turin , 1991)
• Lecturer at II World Congress on Laryngeal Cancer ( Sydney 1994). Speaker at the II Congress of the European Laryngological Society (Rome 1998)
• Scientific secretary of the 55th Congress of Alta Italia ENT Society ( Turin , 1999)
• Director of the theoretical- practical AOOI Course on tracheotomies since 2003
• Co-Director of the Practical Course on Head and Neck Surgery and Laser Microsurgery - Hospital of Vittorio Veneto
• Director of the AOOI Master on diagnostic endoscopy and endoscopic surgery of the upper aero – digestive tract
• Secretary of the President of the Italian Society of Otorhinolaryngology and head and neck surgery in the years 2003-2004
