In the period 1983-2001 he completed his clinic training at the ENT Dept. of the University of Turin , as a resident of Prof. Alberto Sartoris
From 1999 to 2001 , always in the same University Dept., he directed the Unit of Preventive and Clinical Oncology ( B2s position)
Since July 2001 he became Chief of the ENT Service at Martini Hospital of Turin
From December 2002 to April 2003 also holds the positions of Medical Director of the Hospital Martini
In December 2010 he was assigned the role of Associate Professor of Otolaryngology at the University of Cagliari
Since April 2011, following the call at the Faculty of Medicine of Turin San Luigi Gonzaga, he became Associate Professor of Otolaryngology at the University of Turin and Chief of the University ENT Service at San Luigi Gonzaga Hospital together with the Head and Neck Oncology service at Candiolo Cancer Institute – Turin.

Sefik Hosal

Professor Sefik Hosal (M.D.) received his medical degree from Hacettepe University Medical Faculty, Ankara, Turkey. He completed his training in Otorhinolaryngology at the same University.

Dr. Sefik Hosal did his postgraduate training as a research fellow (1993-1994) at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto, Canada. He also worked as a visiting instructor (1998) in University of Pittsburgh, USA. He began his academic career in 1995 as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at Hacettepe University. He became an Associate Professor in 1996. He is currently a Professor at the Division of Head and Neck Surgery in the same University since 2003.

He has more than 90 national and international publications, and he has lectured many topics in both national and international meetings.

He is a member of numerous national and international professional societies. He is the Turkish Representative of European Head and Neck Society.

Fréderic Duprez

is a board certified radiation oncologist since 2008.

He graduated as medical doctor at Ghent University in 2003, was a trainee in radiation oncology at the Ghent University Hospital from 2003-2008 and assisting scientific staff in the Laboratory of Experimental Cancer Research of the Ghent University from 2008-2010. Since 2010, he is a PhD in Medicine and Health Sciences after the defense of his doctoral thesis entitled “Modern IMRT for head-and-neck cancer: a paradoxical paradigm of simultaneous dose escalation and de-escalation”. Since then, he works as staff member in the department of Radiotherapy-Oncology at Ghent University Hospital.

At this moment he is head of clinics and associate professor at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of the Ghent University; in the same faculty he is co-responsible for the general clinical examination of students in Medicine.

He is involved as (co-)investigator in many research protocols on head and neck radiotherapy, mainly involving adaptive radiotherapy, biological imaging guided radiotherapy and quality-of-life. He is (co-)author of > 40 peer-reviewed publications on head-and-neck cancer radiotherapy.

He is member of ESTRO, the European Head and Neck cancer Society (EHNS), the Belgian association for radiation oncology (BeSTRO) and the European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) and at this moment, he is president of the VWHHT (Flemish Head and Neck Cancer Society).

Jean-Louis LEFEBVRE

Professor Jean-Louis Lefebvre, MD is Chief of the Head and Neck Surgery Department at the Centre Oscar Lambret at the Northern France Comprehensive Cancer Center, Lille,France. He was also Deputy Director of the Centre (1996-2001) and President of the Medical Commission (2004-2006).

 Professor Lefebvre has chaired the European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) Head and Neck Cancer Group (1989-1998) and has been a member of the EORTC Board (1997-1999). In 2002, he became the Secretary General and in 2006 the Director of the International Federation of Head and Neck Oncologic Societies and President of the Founding Board of the European Head and Neck Society. He was appointed Vice President of the International Academy of Oral Oncology in 2005.

Professor Lefebvre is a member of 23 head and neck societies and is involved with 24 scientific journals, either as a member of the editorial board or as a reviewer. In 1995, Professor Lefebvre was awarded the Special Recognition Award of the Society of Head and Neck Surgeons. He has given several distinguished lectures including the Myers International Lecture at the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery (1996), the Hayes Martin Lecture at the American Head and Neck Society (1999), the Pierre Denoix Lecture at the Pan-Arab Conference (1999), the Frank Lamberson Lecture at the University of Michigan (2003), and the New York
Head and Neck Society Lecture at the International Conference on Head and Neck Cancer (2004). To date, Prof. Lefebvre has been involved with the publication of more than 350 papers, abstracts, and book chapters and in nearly 150 oral presentations, mainly on the topics of laryngeal surgery,organ preservation, and clinical research.

Wojciech Golusiński is Professor and Chairman of the Department of Head and Neck Services of the Poznan University of Medical Sciences at the Greater Poland Cancer Centre. For many years, he has been one of the most internationally recognized Polish head and neck surgeons. Currently he holds the position of President of the European Head and Neck Society (EHNS), and before he served as the society’s’ General Secretary. He is a long time member of the EHNS and has been involved in its flagship projects, such as the Make Sense Campaign, robotics, and HPV research. As part of the Make Sense Campaign, he has been responsible for the education of health care professionals in Europe. Particularly to raise awareness of head and neck cancer among them.

Professor Golusiński’s field of expertise includes head and neck surgery, especially reconstructive microsurgery, and transoral endoscopic surgery. His research interests focus mainly on prevention of head and neck cancer and the role of HPV infection in cancerogenesis, as well as cancer markers.

Wojciech Golusiński is also the initiator and founder of the Polish Programme of Head and Neck Cancer Prevention. It is the first European programme that introduces screening test in populations with increased risk of head and neck cancer.

In 2016, Professor Golusiński was appointed to the position of head and neck cancer expert by the Ministry of Health. He is also the founder of the Polish Society of Head and Neck Cancer and member of many other prestigious groups such as the International Federation of Head and Neck Oncological Societies or the International Academy of Oral Oncology.

Wojciech Golusiński is the author of more than 200 articles, case studies, book chapters and lectures. They focus largely on cancerogenesis factors and markers in head and neck cancer with particular consideration of cancer cell biology in laryngeal cancer, functional endoscopic surgery of nose and sinuses, current methods of imaging in otolaryngology, psychooncology in laryngological oncology, and new surgical approaches and prevention in head and neck cancer.
